STANDARD BDF AL PROCESS TUBING WAS TESTED TO DETERMINE THE INTERNAL PRESSURE REQUIRED TO BURST THEM AT LOW TEMPERATURES. BURSTING PRESSURE WAS FOUND TO BE BETWEEN 1750-1950 PSIG WITH STANDARD GUNBARRELS AND NO TAPE WRAPPING. WITH A SPECIAL SPLIT GUNBARREL AND WITH THE TUBE WRAPPED WITH ONE LAYER OF STEEL TAPE THE BURSTING PRESSURE WAS 36OO PSIG.
