DESCRIBES A SYSTEM WHICH AUTOMATICALLY FEEDS CORED FUEL ELEMENTS FROM A CONVEYOR INTO A RADIOGRAPHIC TESTER. COLLIMATED GAMMA RADIATION DIRECTED THROUGH THE AXIAL HOLE IN THE FUEL ELEMENT DETERMINES WHETHER LEAKAGE OF BRAZE METAL INTO THE CORE HAS OCCURRED DURING CANNING. ELEMENTS WITH A SCALER COUNT READING BELOW THE PRESET LIMIT ARE TRANSFERRED TO A REJECT OUTLET CONVEYOR AND GOOD ELEMENTS TRANSFERRED TO A DIFFERENT CONVEYOR. INCLUDES DRAWINGS, CIRCUIT DIAGRAMS, ETC.
