RATS WERE SACRIFICED AT INTERVALS FROM 35 MINUTES TO 30 HOURS FOLLOWING INTRAGASTRIC ADMINISTRATION OF A SOLUTION OF RU-106 CHLORIDE. DISTRIBUTION OF RU-106 WITHING THE VARIOUS SEGMENTS OF THE GASTROINTESTINAL TRACT, AND DISTRIBUTION OF TRACT CONTENTS WERE DETD. ANALAYSIS WERE ALSO MADE FOR ABSORBED RU-106 IN BLOOD AND KIDNEYS. LARGES DOSE IS DELIVERED TO THE LOWER LARGE INTESTINE. SIGNIFICATN ABSORPTION FROM THE GASTROINTENSITINAL TRACT OCCURS DURING NOT MORE THAN THE FIRST 35 MINUTES FOLLOWING INTRAGSTRIC ADMINISTRATION. RU IS RAPIDLY CLEARED FROM THE BLOOD. MAX CONCN OF RU IN THE KIDNEY COMES WITHIN 3 HOURS AFTER FEEDING, AND IS LOST WITH A HALF LIFE OF ABOUT 1 DAY.
