FORMULATES A SET OF PARAMETERS WHICH CHARACTERIZE THE EQUILIBRIUM STATE OF A THERMAL, PU-FED-BACK U REACTOR. CALCULATIONS ON D2O MODERATED REACTORS ARE GIVEN AND DISCUSSED. CONCLUDES THAT ENRICHMENT LEVELIS OF GREATEST IMPORTANCE IN DETERMINING THE UTILIZATION OF U235 IN THE U FEED AND THAT THE COMPLETELY HOMOGENEOUS MODEL IS ONLY A STARTING POINT IN EVALUATION OF A PU-FED-BACK REACTOR
