PU240 IS A SUPERIOR FERTILE MATERIAL AS BASED ON NEUTRON ECONOMY. MACROSCOPIC FISSION AND ABSORPTION CROSS SECTIONS OF PU DECREASE RAPIDLY WITH EXPOSURE. THE REACTIVITY VALUE NU OF THE EQUILIBRIUM MIXTURE OF PU ISOTOES DEPENDS UPON NEUTRON TEMPERATURE.
