Description/Abstract:
CHANGES IN H2 CONTENT DURING ANNEALING OF THE QUENCHED STRUCTURE HAD NEGLIGIBLE EFFECT ON THE CHANGE IN PROPERTIES CAUSED BY RECRYSTALLIZATION. ANNEALING AND QUENCHED STRUCTURE WITHOUT CHANGING THE GRAIN STRUCTURE HAD A MINOR EFFECT ON THE TENSILE PROPERTIES. RECRYSTALLIZATION OF U QUENCHED FROM THE BETA PHASE RESULTED IN A 10-25% DECREASE IN ULTIMATE STRENGTH , 10% DECREASE IN YIELD STRENGTH, AND NO CHANGE IN % ELONGATION.
