RESULTS OF AN EXPERIMENT AT C REACTOR TO COMPARE THE RUPTURE PERFORMANCE OF CORED AND SOLID SLUGS SHOWED NO SIGNIFICANT DIFERENCE. IN A SIMILAR EXPERIMENT AT F, CORED SLUGS EXHIBIT IMPROVED PERFORMANCE. A STATISTICAL EVALUATION OF THE C-PILE RESULTS INDICATES NO DIFFERENCE IN RUPTURE RATE OF CORED AND SOLID SLUGS.
