REPORTS AN INVESTIGATION (1) OF THE USE OF INDUCTION HEAT TRATMENT TO PRODUCE URANIUM HAVING LOW H2 CONTENT, NO "RETRICULATE" STRUCTURE, COMPLETELY RANDOM ORIENTATION, EXTREMELY SMALL GRAIN SIZE, AND CRYSTALS IN HOMOGENEOUS DISTRIBUTION WITH RESPECT TO CRYSTALLOGRAPHIC AXES, AND (2) TO EVALUATE SEVERAL DIFFERENT HEATING-COOLING CYCLES IN TERMS OF EFFECT ON URANIUM GRAIN SIZE.
