Description/Abstract:
INITIAL CONVERSION RATIO, THERMAL UTILIZATION, RESONANCE ESCAPE PROBABLITY AND FAST EFFECT HAVE BEEN MEASURED IN KW PILE LATTICE AS A PART OF THE PILE ACTIVIATION PROGRAM. THE DETERMINATIONS WERE MADE WITH AND WITHOUT COOLING WATER PRESENT, USING U-235, U-238, AND CU AS NEUTRON DETECTORS. EXPERTIMENTAL RESULTS WERE COMPARED WITH CALCULATIONS BASES ON HANDBOOK FORMULAS. TECHNIQUE EMPLOYED TO OBTAIN AND ANALYZE THE DATA ARE DISCUSSED IN DETAIL.
