Description/Abstract:
In February 1964, the Y-12 Plant began using a cutting oil in one of its shops which contained polychlorinated biphenyls. PCB was used until November 1971. Since 1971, the shop has used the non-pcb product. In March 1980, it was found that there were 3,000-4,000 ppm PCB in the system and the amount exceeded the standards established by the EPA.
