Description/Abstract:
This document consists of a report titled "Scientific Proposals in Connection with a Possible Summit Meeting," transmitted to E.O. Lawrence, of University of California Radiation Laboratory, by D.Z. Beckler, of the President's Science Advisory Committee. The report states that the objective of the conference would be to reduce tensions and move in the direction of a more peaceful world, and that the U.S. should emphasize proposals that seek primarily to establish a more solid basis for scientific cooperation between the three western powers and the USSR.
