Description/Abstract:
(CONT'D FROM TITLE) (JOURNAL OF LABORATORY AND CLINICAL MEDICINE, VOL. 35, MARCH 1950, PGS. 331-347) (PARTIAL) BEEN EMPLOYED TO OBSERVE THE RATE OF TURNOVER IN SIX DOGS STUDIED UNDER CONTROLLED METABOLIC CONDITIONS. THESE INVESTIGATIONS ARE REPORTED BECAUSE THE OBSERVATIONS ARE ENTIRELY NEW AND ARE CONCERNED WITH DATA PREVIOUSLY UNAVAILABLE AND BECAUSE OF THE IMPLICATIONS OF ELECTROLYTE METABOLISM, EDEMATOUS STATES, CHLORIDE BALANCE, RATE OF RENAL EXCRETION F CHLORIDE, RATE OF EXCHANGE IN THE BLOOD PLASMA AND ALSO BECAUSE OF THE IMPORTANCE IN ATOMIC WARFARE.
