Description/Abstract:
THIS PAPER DISCUSSES THE USE OF A REPOSITORY TO PROLONG THE ADMINISTRATION OF RADIOACTIVE ISOTOPES TO TREAT RADIOSENSITIVE TUMORS. IF A REPOSITORY SUBSTANCE IS USED, WITH A RADIOACTIVE ISOTOPE TAKING THE PLACE OF ONE OR MORE OF ITS NORMAL ATOMS, IT IS POSSIBLE TO INTRODUCE BY INJECTION A RADIOACTIVE SUBSTANCE INTO ANY AREA OF THE BODY AND KEEP IT THERE FOR A DEFINITE LENGTH OF TIME. WITH THE KNOWLEDGE OF REPOSITORIES, TUMORS CAN BE TREATED BY INJECTION, FIRST AROUND THEIR PERIPHERY TO PREVENT METASTASIS AND THEN DIRECTLY INTO THE GROWTH ITSELF.
