Description/Abstract:
THIS PAPER PRESENTS THE DIFFICULTIES OF CONTROLLED CLINICAL TRIALS. SUGGESTIONS ARE MADE TO ENHANCE THE DESIGN AND STATISTICAL ACCURACY OF CONTROLLED CLINICAL TRIALS. THE CHOICE OF INVESTIGATORS POSES A PROBLEM WHEN THE INVESTIGATOR HAS MOTIVES OTHER THAN OBSERVING THE CLINICAL TRIAL. THE INVESTIGATOR SHOULD BE WILLING TO ADHERE TO RULES OF THE TRIAL AND BE AUTHENTICALLY INTERESTED IN THERAPEUTIC TESTING. A YEAR SHOULD BE ALLOWED FOR DRAWING UP THE "PROTOCOL" (THE DOCUMENT CONTAINING THE AGREED PLAN) AND THE CORRESPONDING RECORD SHEETS. DURING THIS YEAR, THE PLANNERS SHOULD MEET TOGETHER FOR AT LEAST 100 HOURS.
