GOLDSTEIN, DIRECTOR OF BIOLOGY AND MEDICINE, AEC, DATED DECEMBER 10, 1971, THAT WAS DISCLOSED DURING EXAMINATION OF RECORDS AT DBER (AEC, DIVISION OF BIOMEDICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH). NO AUTHOR OF THIS SUMMARY IS INDICATED. THE DISCLOSED LETTER CONCERNED A PROPOSAL TO SECURE EXCRETION AND BLOOD SAMPLES FROM THREE PERSONS WHO HAD BEEN INJECTED WITH PLUTONIUM DURING 1945-1946. INFORMATION REGARDING THE CHAIN OF APPROVAL AT DONNER LABORATORY FOR SUCH A REQUEST WAS DISCUSSED. THIS DOCUMENT INDICATES THAT NO FURTHER REQUEST ON THIS MATTER WERE RECEIVED AND NO FOLLOW UP ACTIONS WERE TAKEN BY THE AUTHOR.
