It was recently brought to our attention by D. E. Hull, presently in the training school, that the mercury cathode has been used successfully by both Y-12 and K-25 for the purification of uranium solutions in processing and in analytical work. Discussions with workers at Y-12 and K-25 show that limiting conditions have not been examined critically but certain operable methods are listed.
