Description/Abstract:
A furnace has been designed, built, and satisfactorily operated for the recovery of uranium from contaminated carbon. The processing rate was found to be in excess of three thousand pounds of carbon alumina mixture per 24 hour day with less than 1% carbon left in the ash. Report and photographs enclosed.
