Description/Abstract:
Labor Standards Committee Case Report. Repair the existing coal conveyor system which carries coal from the coal pile to the boilers in the steam plant. The work consists of installing new structural supports for the west coal hopper, new concrete and steel supports for conveyor number 1, new steel supprots for conveyor number 2, and new handrails at the hopper maintenance platform. The work also includes cleaning and painting rusted steel, replacing slide gate bearings, electrical transformer and panels at the coal crusher, hinges on sheet metal covers for conveyor #2, and the fan shaft for forced draft fan number 4 inside the steam plant. 1.J. - Engineering design. 4.A. - Repair and alteration of existing conveyor structures for the coal conveyor system. Energy Systems Engineering will perofrm the design. MK-Ferguson will perform the modifications using direct hire forces. $475,000
