Description/Abstract:
Labor Standards Committee Case Report. The Melton Valley Storage Tank Capacity Increase Project Site Preparation includes: a) initial site preparation including excavation, installation of portions of the electrical ductbank, and temporary drainage systems for the excavated area and some portions of the permanent site drainage; b) installation of the fire/service water supply, hydrants, and service tap; Occupational Safety and Health Administraiton (OSHA) compliant excavation and backfull at the tie-in point of the potable/fire watrer line to the existing systems to allow tie-ins by the Facility Manager; and d) removal of some existing fencing and installation of new security fencing. The steam line relocation involves coordinated outage with HFIR facility and consideration for asbestos insulation. The remaining site work is typical excavation/grading, piping and electrical installation and fencing suitable for FPSC. Related to 95-0003 dated 10/6/94 for early Monolith Relocation. MK Ferguson direct hire construction forces will perform construction activities for relocation of overhead steam line, and FPSC will perform balance of construction activities. $1,737,750.
