Description/Abstract:
A progress report is nearly complete on the Lead-Barium precipitate separations by centrifugation and filtration and the acetate-citrate ion exhange process. Ion echange runs have been made with about 3000 curies of active Barium with no noticeable effect of this amount of radiation on the operation of a 3" x 7" Dowex 50 resin bed. Development is continuing on Versene ion exhange procedures and centrifugation of Barium Sulfate without lead carrier.
