Description/Abstract:
Colonel S.L. Warren has brought to the attention of this office the possible existence of health hazards in the work being undertaken at Berkeley under the directon of Drs. Lattimer and Eastman. Colonel Warren has indicated that laboratories working with final product must be equipped in the same manner as those laboratories performing similar work at Chicago. It is the feeling that Manhattan Project work on final product should be done at as few locations as possible in order to maintain security and to avoid duplication of adequate facilites. The possible need for additional facilities at the laboratories at Berkeley causes the question to arise of whether that work could be carried on at another location. The question of the removal of the Lattimer-Eastman work on final procut to another location should be considered.
