Description/Abstract:
Labor Standards Committee Case Report: This work involves the removal of benches, containers, and other materials; the complete disassembly of this 20' x 30' lexan/glass structure; and disposal of all debris. There are asbestos and rad contamination issues that have to be dealt with which is the reason for the large contingency. Labor costs associated with this job reflect the actual wage paid for the specific craft. The time estimate was made by ORNL employees with over 20 years experience in this type work. ORNL possesses all the resources and expertise to accomlish this project safely and with minimum chance of spreading contamination. It is proposed that ORNL forces do tis work. $18,636.
