Description/Abstract:
Labor Standards Committee Case Report: Remove 3 each exhaust ducts. Remove exhaust hood. Disconnect process sink and associated piping. Remove 480V, 3 phase disconnect. Paint walls. Replace damaged floor tiles. Replace lighting fixtures. Remove lift station and associated piping. Install instrument air for tables, and install receptacles overhead. Operational activities to provide demolition and better operating space. Rearrangement of operating space. Painting to provide usefulness. This project will consist solely of work routinely performed by the In-House Maintenance group of Martin Marietta Energy Systems, Inc., and will not call for an increase in the work force of mechanics or laborers. The removal of lead-based paint will be done under an operations safety work permit developed by the MMES staff of dedicated professionals and hands-on work will be carried out by trained personnel. When completed, this room will be returned to usefulness as a work area for the furtherance of the NVLAP program which is one of the Oak Ridge Manufacturing Technology Center's projects. $3,707.
