Labor Standards Committee Case Report: Scrape peeling lead paint;spray approximartely 1824 sq. ft. ceiling (actual sg. ft. 912 x 2 coats) = 1824 sq. ft. Room approximately 4192 sq. ft. walls (actual sq. ft. 1096 x 2 coats) = 4192 sq. ft. Repaint 4 doors and jams. Painting less than $2,000. Painters have always performed maintenance work (repairs). Work is not new construction work. Removal of lead paint requires trained personnel and certified equipment which will be necessary to protect other personnel working in the area. MMES workers who perform these duties will also limit exposure to hazardous material to outside contractor personnel. $1,246.10.
