Description/Abstract:
Labor Standards Committee Case Report: This work is to install prefabricated drip pans under two hydraulic pumps located at Building 9204-1. These pans will serve to collect any hydraulic fluid that might chip from the pumps and thus prevent an insult to the environment. The hydraulic pumps serve creep machines and related research equipment. Estimates were developed using standard labor estimating techniques. The work will require disconnecting the hydraulic lines, raising the pumps high enough to slide the drip pans under the pumps, lowering the pumps to their original positions and reconnecting the hydraulic lines. This work must be coordinated with on-gooing research experiments and it is recommended that it be performed b MME forces. $7,000.
