Description/Abstract:
Labor Standards Committee Case Report: Surveillance and maintenance activities (S&M) associated with source units for the Y-12 ER program remedial actions will be included in the project. Seep liquid from the Bear Creek Burial Ground (BCBG) waste sites treated in existing facilities funded by this ESO are the Disposal Area Remedial Action (DARA) Liquid Storage Facility (LSF) and the DARA Groundwater Treatment Facility (GWTF) . Analysis of labor standards supporting proposed method--operational and maintenance activities or very closely and directly involved therewith. Energy Systems Waste Management (WM) Division will operate the DARA LSF (R47) and the GWTF (45). This ESO will fund both operation and maintenance costs for these facilities. Both the R45 and R47 suborder will be opened for material to cover the cost of maintenance items for the operation of facilities (personal protective equipmemt, filters, drums, etc.). Revision 2: Revised to (1) add scope of work to be performed by MMES Maintenance with Waste Management (2) Increase funding Waste Management (R47), Engineering (a10) and Waste Management (WM) will install new liquid level mesuring devices. MMES Engineering wil provide routine assistance to Maintenance as needed. The existing tank level readouts devices were damaged by lightning from storms, vibration from expansion and the weather. Two capacity pumps and associated piping will be replaced. MMES Engineering will provide TItle II design documents (modify design document for an existing tanker loading platform) to install a tanker loading platform at the LSF and to install additional piping at the GWTF. MK-Ferguson will perform field work associated with installation of the piping and tanker loading platform. $2,460,000.
