Description/Abstract:
This document concerns sediment removal from the K-1407-B Holding Pond. Nuclear safety considerations were given to the removal of about 4000 tons of waste sediment containing very low concentrations of slightly enriched uranium. The sediment would be trucked to an on-plant, 6-foot deep retention basin just west of the holding pond area. The waste is nuclearly nonreactive and could be handled without mass or geometry limitations.
