Description/Abstract:
This document contains the Health Physics--Industrial Hygiene Progress Report for June 1 - 30, 1948. A major portion of time and emphasis during the month has been spent in completing Phase I of the Industrial Hygiene program. Phase I (Definitive) was a phase during which a thorough and complete study of the plant with regard to materials, methods and operations provided a list of potential hazards. Also, considerable effort has been given to effecting an improvement in the facilities for calibrating radiation instruments. Management has agreed to provide facilities for film and instrument calibration, and an effort is being made to secure additional information relative to this problem from various Atomic Energy Commission sites in order to insure complete and comprehensive coverage. Included is an appendix which is a summary of the potential toxicity problems.
