This document concerns the proposed Y-12 Role in Electrochemical Fusion. This report recommended that a number of key experiments be undertaken in order to explore feasibility, boundaries, and scale-up parameters of "cold" fusion as related to energy production beyond what can be done easily at ORNL. It was also recommended a five point program be established immediately at Y-12. The five areas identified were to (1) continue support for ORNL program on present course; (2) develop a cell at Y-12 to study high temperature and pressure effects in heavy water; (3) examine other electrode materials; (4) molten salt systems based on deuteride species and (5) molten salt systems based on D(+).
