Description/Abstract:
This record consists of a report by the Westinghouse Electric & Manufacturing Company Research Group. The subject of this report is a series of experiments on the resonance method of isotope separation. The aim of the work was to study methods of producing alternating electric fields in the J Region, and to study the behavior of J's operating at lower pressures and current densities that the "normal J." Topics discussed include: Eperiments on J Potential with Application of High Frequency Voltages; Experiments on the D.C. Behavior of Low Pressure J's; J Space Potential at Low Pressures; and Experiments on Scattering of Ions by a J. The report includes sketches, drawings, graphs, and photographs.
