PROCEDURES GOVERNING HEALTH AND SAFETY PRACTICES AT NEVADA TEST SITE: 1. THE MANAGER, SFO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ADEQUATE HEALTH AND SAFETY MEAS URES AT THE NEVADA PROVING GROUNDS. THE STANDARDS FOR SAFETY, SAFETY MEASURES AND HEALTH STANDARDS FOR THE PROVING GROUNDS WERE ESTABLISHED BY THE DIVISION OF BIOLOGY AND MEDICINE. THE ALLOWABLE RADIATION DOS AGE FOR AN INDIVIDUAL WAS ESTABLISHED BY THE INTERNATIONAL COMMISSION ON RADIOLOGICAL PROTECTION IN 1950. 2. THE MEASURES PROVIDED TO INSU RE THE SAFETY OF WORKERS ARE LISTED, SUCH AS DAILY CHECKING OF FILM BA DGES, MONITORING OF CONTAMINATED AREAS, POSTED SIGNS ON CONTAMINATED A REAS OR OBJECTS, AND WRITTEN INFORMATION TO THE WORKMEN OF THEIR CUMUL ATIVE DOSAGES.
