Description/Abstract:
INTERDIFFUSION COEFFICIENTS IN AIR OF 86 SPECIES OF FISSION-PRODUCTS A ND URANIUM AND THEIR OXIDES HAVE BEEN ESTIMATED AT 500, 1000, 1500, 20 00, AND 2500 K. THESE CONSTANTS WERE CALCULATED BY USE OF THE STEFAN-M AXWELL EQUATION, WHICH REQUIRES THE ESTIMATION OF ATOMIC AND MOLECULAR COLLISION DIAMETERS. THESE VALUES AUGMENT THE AVAILABLE THERMODYNAMIC AND KINETIC DATA FOR THESE ELEMENTS, AND ARE APPLICABLE TO A WIDE RAN GE OF PROBLEMS SUCH AS THE KINETICS OF FALLOUT FORMATION AND THE ESCAP E AND BEHAVIOR OF FISSION PRODUCTS FROM OVERHEATED REACTORS.
