Description/Abstract:
ESTIMATES OF INCIDENCE OF EARLY EFFECTS IN PEOPLE AFTER EXPOSURE TO RA DINONUCLIDE RELEASES IN HYPOTHETICAL LIGHT WATER REACTOR ACCIDENTS ARE NECESSARY FOR BENEFIT RISK ANALYSIS OF VARIOUS ENERGY SOURCES. BECAUSE NO HUMAN DATA EXIST WHICH DIRECTLY APPLY TO THIS PROBLEM, ESTIMATES MU ST BE MADE FROM EXPERIMENTAL DATA IN ANIMALS. THIS REPORT MAKES SUCH E STIMATES BASED ON HYPOTHETICAL RELEASES AND RADIATION DOSES ESTIMATED IN WASH-1400 AND EXPERIMENTAL DATA DERIVED FROM BEAGLE DOGS EXPOSED TO VARIOUS RADIONUCLIDES.
