Description/Abstract:
IN ONE OF FIVE COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHIC FILMS STUDIED, STORAGE IN DRY A IR CAUSED FOGGING. THE OPTICAL DENSITY INCREASE WAS LINEAR WITH TIME, AND WAS ENHANCED BY A PURE NITROGEN OR 40 PERCENT OXYGEN ATMOSPHERE. THE PHENOMENON CAN BE OF CONSEQUENCE IN AUTORADIOGRAPHIC WORK.
