Description/Abstract:
THE PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE EXPERIMENT REPORTED HEREIN WAS TO OBTAIN ACCURATE INFORMATION ON THE PRESSURE IN THE SHOCK WAVE IN THE FREE-AIR REGION. IN PARTICULAR, IT WAS DESIRED TO KNOW THE PEAK PRESSURE AS A FUNCTION OF DISTANCE IN THIS REGION. SECONDARY OBJECTIVES WERE TO DETE RMINE THE PATH OF THE TRIPLE POINT AND TO DETERMINE THE PEAK PRESSURE IN THE MACH-STEM REGION.
