THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS PROJECT WAS TO PHOTOGRAPH THE SPECTRUM OF THE BO MB LIGHT OF THE THREE-HIGH-ALTITUDE NUCLEAR DETONATIONS OF OPERATION H ARDTACK FROM TWO HIGH-FLYING AIRCRAFT WITH A TIME RESOLUTION OF 50 SEC ONDS AND A SPECTRAL RESOLUTION ADEQUATE TO IDENTIFY THE EMISSION OR AB SORPTION SPECTRUM OF MOLECULAR SPECIES THAT MIGHT BE FORMED AROUND THE FIREBALL.
