HE GIVES BACK GRO UND ON THE USE OF MILK AS A TESTING AGENT. THE YEARLY AVERAGE OF RADIO ACTIVITY IN MILK IS COMPARED WITH THE 80 MICROMICRO CURIES PER LITER U SED AS THE RECOMMENDED LIFETIME PERMISSIBLE CONCENTRATION. A BRIEF HIS TORY OF THE NCRP IS GIVEN ALONG WITH AN OVERVIEW OF THE RADIOLOGICAL H EALTH ACTIVITIES OF THE U.S. PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICE AND OF THE FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION.
