Description/Abstract:
ON 16 AND 17 JULY 1962, CIVIL EFFECTS TEST ORGANIZATION PROJECT 62.80 AERIAL SURVEYS ( CONDUCTED BY EG+G AND BY USGS ) LOCATED AN AREA IN NORTHERN UTAH AND SOUTHERN WYOMING WITH A RADIATION COUNT OF A MAGNIT UDE TO WARRENT A GROUND SURVEY. AFTER A CONFERENCE WITH REPRESENTATIV ES OF THE OFFICE OF CIVIL DEFENSE, UCLA, AND EG+G, PLANS WERE FORMULAT ED FOR THE AREA TO BE GROUND SURVEYED BY NUCLEAR DEFENSE LABORITORY. THESE PLANS WERE PRESENTED TO THE DIRECTOR OF PROGRAM TWO AND WERE APPROVED. FOUR TWO-MAN SURVEY TEAMS WERE DISPATCHED TO THE AREAS DES IGNATED ON THE ATTACHED MAPS AND DATA WAS TAKEN AND ALSO ATTACHED. THE DATA WAS CORRECTED FROM CALIBRATION CURVES FURNISHED BY UCLA BUT HAS NOT BEEN NORMALIZED TO ANY HOUR OF REFERENCE AS IT APPEARS HEREIN. SURVEY METER DATA IS ATTACHED.
