Description/Abstract:
THIS REPORT PRESENTS A COMPUTATIONAL MODEL FOR FALLOUT ESTIMATES DESIG NED TO PERMIT RAPID CALCULATIONS. THE FIRST SECTION OF THE REPORT DEA LS WITH THE MATHEMATICAL FORM OF THE MODEL; THE SECOND SECTION DEALS W ITH THE ADJUSTMENT OF CONSTANTS TO FIT EXPERIMENTAL DATA. THE FUNDAME NTAL CHARACTER OF THE MODEL IS DETERMINED BY THE FACT THAT THE RATE WI TH WHICH RADIOACTIVE DEBRIS FALLS ON THE GROUND IS INDEPENDENT OF THE WIND. AN APPLICATION OF THE MODEL TO DETERMINE BIOLOGICAL CONSEQUENCE S OF ANY GIVEN DENSITY OF FALLOUT IS ALSO PRESENTED.
