Description/Abstract:
Hanford Works; An aerial view of the Hanford Construction Camp (now dismantled) which had a peak population of 51,000 during construction. It is estimated that over 25,000,000 meals were served at the several camp mess halls during the course of construction work. Workers lived in barracks type quarters and those with families lived in privately owned trailers.
