Description/Abstract:
The Addendum to NAA-SR-MEMO-1946 is written to present the results of experiments and of refined calculations that are pertinent to the hazards evaluation associated with the SNAP II Critical Assembly. This assembly, formerly referred to as the Special Purpose Power Plant Critical Facility, is discussed in detail in the above-numbered report. The operation of the assembly has satisfactorily verified both the original calculations and the opinions that the assembly is inherently a safe reactor system.
