Description/Abstract:
A two day meeting was held at the G. E. Evendale plant on March 8 and 9. The attendance was small, numbering about twenty, enabling a rather informal, discussion-type meeting under the chairmanship of J. A. Hunter of G.E. After a welcoming introduction by M. C. Leverett, the following papers were presented: A Fuse Element Experiment, Solder Plugs and Rupture Diaphragms as Poison Release Mechanisms, ANP Fuse Program, Gas-Powered Fuses, Fuse Alloy Discs, Expanding Liquid Fuses, Fuse Problems, and Hanford Critical Safety.
