Description/Abstract:
The design as now established has no problems insofar as reliability or performance is concerned (subject to the results of NAA-9, the solder plug irradiation test, and NAA-109, the production pile tests). There is no feature or component that is unsatisfactory of itself. There do exist the problems of manufacturing the elements with a low reject count, and the problems of developing rapid and reliable inspection techniques. These will be discussed in Section III, Manufacturing Program.
