Description/Abstract:
Three field calorimeters were constructed to measure the gamma rays emitted by the Kiwi-A reactor. This report describes the construction, collimation, shielding, and calibration of the calorimeters. The results of the measurements of the Kiwi-A gamma rays are presented in terms of absorbed energy rate and dose rate for each power level of reactor operation. The measured gamma ray rates are shown to be closely proportional to the reactor power.
