Description/Abstract:
Chapter 5 discusses the most important contribution made by the Navy to the activities of the Los Alamos Project, which consisted of assignment of key personnel, who were of invaluable assistance in the successful attainment of the Project's objective. Chapter 6 presents an historical account of the activities of the Manhattan District which were carried out at Sandia Base, near Albuquerque, New Mexico, between the summer of 1945 and 31 December 1946, the termination date of the Manhattan District History.
