Description/Abstract:
Supplement 2 presents an account of the action taken, in the United States and in Europe, with respect to the possibility of the use by the Germans of radioactive materials as a weapon, code word "Peppermint". Supplement 3 presents a brief account of the export control activities of the Manhattan District, principally during the period between the announcement of the development of the atomic bomb, in August 1945, and the transfer of these activities to the Atomic Energy Commission 31 December 1946.
