Description/Abstract:
A new series of health physics training lectures is being planned. A tentative program has been outlined and meetings will start in October. One member of the section attended the Air Cleaning Seminar held at Ames, Iowa on September 15, 16, and 17. The meteorological equipment at Mound Laboratory is being modified as requested by Mr. J. Holland of the Atomic Energy Commission, Oak Ridge. Necessary materials have been ordered and the changes will be made as soon as possible. The 25 mg. radium source used for calibration purposes was tested for leaks and found to be satisfactory.
