Description/Abstract:
Test LTC-67B was the irradiation of six hexagonal, unclad fuel elements at 2250°F in the LITR C-48 facility. The tubes were of the 6BF-204 composition with a solid slotted BeO center rod making up a seven tube test bundle. Originally this test was scheduled to operate at 2750°F as a duplication of LTC-67A which did not achieve the desired temperature of 2750°F. However, shortly after the operation of LTC-67A the required maximum temperature on LTC-67B was lowered from 2750°F to 2250°F. Drawing list 848D252 Gl describes the test assembly.
