Description/Abstract:
This report summarizes experimental work completed on Subcontract AT-147. The overall program objective was to obtain a structurally sound, high density BeO material containing nuclear poisons of the n-α type. The major requirement of this product was retention of at least 90% of the poison upon exposure to oxidizing conditions at 2000°F for 100 hrs. This goal was attained.
