OSTI to participate in nano workshop in Oak Ridge

OSTI will participate in the Informatics Needs for Nanomaterials Workshop being held February 8-9, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The workshop is hosted by Informatics Research Library in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and is the first of a series of workshops to address the informatics needs in nanotechnology. OSTI Director Walt Warnick will give a presentation, “Speeding Up Nano Progress Using Information Diffusion.” Participants include researchers from universities, federal facilities and industry, and leaders in the field of nanotechnology, including representatives of the National Nanotechnology Coordination Office in Arlington, Virginia; the Oak Ridge National Laboratory Center for Nanophase Materials Sciences; and the Nanotechnology Characterization Laboratory for the National Cancer Institute in Frederick, Maryland.
